SCRAP Denton will be at Mini Maker Faire 2016 providing hands on art activities for kids of all ages. Our stations will feature spin art with a fabulous machine specially crafted by Querencia Community Bike Shop using bike parts to power the spinner.
Participants can create a unique painting using paint and paper (no brush needed!) and the overall design is determined by the force of the machine and colors you choose. The result is a unique, circular/splatter pattern. For an example of the spin art machine in action, click here to see a video of this years Arts and Jazz Fest, and attend this fall’s Faire to try it yourself!
We will also have space where you can experiment with various types of printmaking techniques. We will be using reused and repurposed materials like blocks, rubber bands and foam to create stamps.
