Faire Isle Knitting will be leading 8 participants through knitting in the round on double pointed needles from 11 to 1. Participants should be at the advanced beginner level with knowledge of the knit stitch, purl stitch, cast on, and bind off. Supplies will be provided.

Tinkerers will love the Circuit Bending workshop at 1pm. This class provides space for 10 teams of 2 or 3 people who will create something new from something old. Tinker and customize the circuits in old battery-powered toys to create new effects and sounds..Participants are encouraged to bring toys to take apart and enhance. The best types of toys are older, battery-powered, have buttons and make sounds. So come bend some circuits and create something new at our Circuit Bending workshop.

Workshop Area ScheduleAt 3:30 twenty lucky makers will create a life cast using Alginate Casting to make a plaster replica of their finger. Alginate is the same material dentists use to cast teeth made with seaweed stems! Alginate is Hypo-Allergenic (safe) and does NOT heat up when setting.

These are just a few of the things you can learn at the first annual Denton Mini Maker Faire this Saturday, October 17th!
